Blind Motivational Speakers sticky icon

BLIND MOTIVATION – Inspirational and motivational individuals whose words and zest for life will mobilize and motivate people of all ages.  Click on the links below and learn more about these remarkable people who redefine what is “normal” and “typical” in their lives on a daily basis.  Oh yeah, they just happen to be blind too.

Jim Stovall
Jim Stovall has been a national champion Olympic weightlifter, the President of the Emmy Award-winning Narrative Television Network, and a highly sought after author and platform speaker.  He is the author of the best selling book, The Ultimate Gift, which is now a major motion picture starring James Garner and Abigail Breslin.

Erik Weihenmayer
Erik Weihenmayer is the first blind person to complete the Seven Summits.  He is an author, acrobatic skydiver, long distance biker, marathon runner, skier, mountaineer, ice climber, and rock climber. Erik is also an active speaker on the lecture circuit.

Albert Rizzi
Albert Rizzi has been inspiring audiences for the past two years with the moving story of how he came back from a coma after he suffered from a severe case of meningitis.  In his coma he knew that he had lost his sight.  When he awoke and heard his prognosis – that he would never regain his eyesight he spent about 5 minutes feeling sorry for himself.  But then his father took his hand and gently told him “you weren’t raised to say you can’t do anything.  You were raised to rise over adversity and soar to your greatest pinnacle.”  That was over 3 years ago.

Since that moment Albert has been challenging himself to move to greater and greater heights.  He has gone on to inspire children with disabilities to be their best personal selves.  He has addressed thousands of audiences and they come away hopeful that anyone with the will and the focus can do anything they set their mind to.  Albert said he could do anything he wanted to do except drive a car.  That was before he took part in the Riverhead Raceway’s Blindfold Derby.  His wish came true on August 8, 2009 when he drove his car, staying on course, as he came in second in the race.

Blind Motivation is what it took for Albert to rise above his challenge.  He’s not alone in his quest to discover possibilities for people with challenges such as blindness, deafness, and physical limitations.  He has been able to prove that his vision goes beyond eyesight as he continues his journey taking the sighted world out of darkness by sharing his view with anyone eager to see.

Larry C. Colbert
Larry Colbert truly lives a life of vision, both physical and compassionate. As a long time member of the International Association of Lions, he advocates the empowerment of people with disabilities and is active with the Chandler Arizona Lions Club. He’s held many offices including District Governor 1998-99.
